Ingredients

  • 4 (1-inch thick) boneless or bone-in pork chops

  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 apples, cored and cut into wedges

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced, or to taste

  • fresh sage leaves, for garnish

Direction

  1. Pat pork chops dry with paper towels, then sprinkle both sides with salt and pepper.

  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chops and brown well, about 5 minutes per side. Stir in honey, apple wedges, and garlic; cover and simmer until pork is tender, about 8 minutes. An instant-read thermometer, inserted into the center, should read at least 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).

  3. Serve chops topped with apples and pan juices. Garnish with sage leaves.
